How to add an SPF Record Print

  • 25

An SPF, or Sender Policy Framework, is a DNS record that identifies the domains or IP addresses that are authorized to send emails for a particular domain.

By authenticating the sender against a list of approved senders, SPF records help prevent email spoofing and reduce the amount of spam that gets through to recipients. With the proliferation of spam and the increasing sophistication of spammers, SPF is now the standard practice for email protection.

Many mail providers automatically filter out emails that do not have an SPF record, sending them to spam or junk folders. To improve your email deliverability and protect against unwanted and malicious messages, you need a valid SPF record.

Please use this SPF and only this SPF as multiple SPFs will cause issues. To add additional providers to this existing record you can add an additional include

Adding an SPF record to your domain's DNS settings can help prevent email spam and phishing attacks. If you have a domain hosted with zFast.co.uk and would like to add an SPF record, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your zFast.co.uk account and navigate to the cPanel control panel.
  2. Under the "Email" section, click on "Authentication".
  3. Click on the "Enable" button next to the "SPF" option.
  4. Scroll down to the "Add SPF Record" section and enter your desired SPF record in the text box. The SPF record should be in the correct format, with a list of authorized IP addresses or domains that are allowed to send emails on behalf of your domain.
  5. Click the "Add" button to save your new SPF record.

Once you have added your SPF record, it is a good idea to test it to ensure it is working as expected. You can do this by using an online SPF checker tool, such as the one provided by MXToolbox. Simply enter your domain name and SPF record into the tool to see if it is valid and configured correctly.

By following these steps, you can add an SPF record to your domain hosted with zFast.co.uk, helping to protect your email from spam and phishing attacks.
